Healthy Tips

Happy Wed! Today we are sharing some health tips. With so much to do today and always running around it's important to take care of yourself. We are obviously not doctors or in the medical field, but we have found these to be beneficial to us. I like to start my day off with hot lemon water. It really does help! I can really tell a difference on days when I do not drink it. It is supposed to rid your body of toxins and really refresh you. We also love our vitamins (I am sort of vitamin obsessed truth be told). Right now we have been taking the daily chewies by Vitafusion. They are super easy to take (added bonus: they taste like candy) and you get a lot for a great value. I take the Women's Multi as well as their Hair, Skin and Nails. I really fine hair and I swear it has grown so much while taking this and has made it fuller. As trite as it might sound Probiotics are really awesome and really work. They help keep you healthy and keep good bacteria in your body. The RenewLife brand has been a favorite lately but you can't go wrong with any! We also love Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. This stuff works! I don't drink this everyday, but once in awhile I will take a "shot" of it with some water. It really helps your body feel better and jump starts your metabolism. I read an article about ACV and it helps with many things like lower blood sugar and blood pressure . I even use it in the kitchen when cooking.  And lastly it's no secret but sleep, water and exercise are crucial. We only get one body and you are your best investment. What are some of your favorite tips on staying healthy?

Designer Crush: Eddie Ross

If you follow us on Instagram you know that we started out with home décor. With that being said, we love all things home decorating. Today we are featuring one of our favorite home designers Eddie Ross. We are crushing hard on his style and work. You can read more about him here: http://eddieross.com and follow him on instagram. Eddie has worked for House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living (just to name a few) and knows a thing or two about styling a dinner party table. If you haven't heard of him we highly encourage you to check out his work. His work is bold, fun, colorful, classic yet modern. I am going to order his book, Modern Mix and put it on my coffee table. My dream: I would LOVE for him to decorate my entire house. So without further ado here are some of our favorite Eddie Ross designs. xo

Black Tops

TGIF! Is there anything better than a black top? We think not! They are a go to for both of us and in our opinion you can never have too many. You can dress them up or down and they always make your jewelry stand out. Also, here are a few black tops we love! Hope everyone has a great weekend! XO

Small Plate Favorites

Good morning! Today I am sharing one of my favorite local restaurants/wine bars ...Taste. I had ladies night with a group of friends last night and we ate there. Taste features small plates, so you get to sample a few different things which I love. Everything on their menu is absolutely delicious, but my two favorites are the mini sliders and their bruschetta. They also have really great drinks specials. Last night was half off glasses of wine- so good! If you live in Raleigh or plan to visit be sure to check them out. JMR Kitchens (local) owns Taste and they have two locations. They also own The Oak (which is great too!). You can view their menu here: Taste  Also, how good does this bruschetta recipe by my girl Ree Drummond look? I will be making this for my next happy hour at home! Have a great day! xo

Favorite New Candle

Hey guys! This morning I am sharing my new favorite Target find. I picked up this Chesapeake Bay Candle in Cashmere Plum this past weekend. (I went in for one item and came out with a cart of goodies which included this candle). This candle smells so good. Don't get me wrong I love NEST Candles and higher end brands, but I promise this smells just as great. I usally invest in nicer candles but I find I go through them quickly (and let's be real that's a fast burning $40), but sometimes I find some of the lower end brands to not have a lot of fragrance or burn super quickly. Thanks to this find I have found the perfect candle. I swear it is a dupe for Anthropologie's Capri Blue candle (one of my very favorites). It's only $12 and it smells JUST as great (if not better) than alot of the higher end brands. Eager to try out the other scents, but I am pretty smitten with this one. You're the best-thanks Target!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I went to Pinehurst for the weekend and had a blast. We stayed at CNCC-which included lots of pool time, golf and tennis. We ended up having dinner at one of my favorite places, Ironwood in Pinehurst. If you are in the area be sure to check it out. They have great food and talk about delicious drinks! This martini was SO good! After dinner we met some friends at The Pinecrest Inn. It is a historical hotel in downtown Pinehurst and just the cutest. I love their big front porch and rocking chairs (it is the definition of southern nights) but the coolest thing about it...you can chip in the lobby's fireplace. You can always expect to find a friendly competition going on:) Have a great day! xo

That Friday Feeling

Is it just us or did this seem like a long week?! Anyways, we are glad it's Friday! Did you guys check out the Nordstrom sale yesterday? They had some technical issues, but luckily they are back up and running. We both ordered these jeans.

Rag and Bone High Waisted Jeans

I recently got these earrings by Mignonne Gavigan and they are so fun! They are super light weight and come in a million different colors. I got the turquoise but already thinking about which color I want next. If you are local Gena Chandler in Raleigh has a great selection of MG!

I tried this coconut water yesterday after my workout class. It was absolutely delicious and hydrating. It has been so hot here this past week. I may or may not have drank the entire can on the way home.

I need some new eye shadow and have been eyeing this one. I love all the colors in this palette.

The Best Summer Salad

Happy Hump Day! I had this salad last night for dinner and I am addicted.  My love affair with this salad actually started last summer. My sister and I love this salad, it is SO good.  Meet B. Good's Watermelon Salad. We could seriously eat this every day. It is so refreshing, light and the flavors are incredible. It has watermelon, corn, mint, feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes topped with a balsamic drizzle. They serve it with an oil and vinegar dressing which in our opinion gives it the perfect amount of tartness. We love this salad so much-we have even recreated it at home (which turned out really great!). Sadly, this is a seasonal salad so you can only get it for a limited time, but the good news...it's back on the menu! Trust us: it's love at first bite.

Coffee Table Styling

Today we are talking coffee table books. In our opinion no table is complete without them.  Also, we recommend to buy them on Amazon for better prices! Because why spend more. Here are our favorites:

Weekend Recap

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  On Friday night we tried a new restaurant, Mofu. The food was so good and we loved the atmosphere. We shared a bunch of small plates--our favorite dish was the chicken skewers.

Cheers!

We started the night off with a fun, summer cocktail while we were getting ready. It is has been so hot here...these are so refreshing! (and just fun)

Cheers! Popsicles and bubbly

Random, but I love how Coke prints names on their labels every summer. Believe it or not, I always have the hardest time finding my name, Natalie. My mom finally found it! It's the little things...I was so excited!

Thanks mom!

The rest of the weekend was pretty low key with lots of pool time. I ventured down to Pinehurst for the day. The CCNC is a gorgeous place! One of my favorite views: their pool that overlooks the lake.  Have a great Monday! xo

TGIF

Happy Friday!! We love a short week! Not only do we love short weeks, we equally love hair appointment weeks! So this week was extra amazing! I went on Wed and Ash is going today:)  We always love going to our salon, Samuel Cole because they are always stocked with THE best products. They carry Oribe (our favorite), Bumble and Bumble,  R + Co and Smith and & Cult (just to name a few). Besides having the best products the team is incredible too! I tell you it is pure relaxation in there. You are greeted by their friendly staff, offered a drink (bubbly please) and the head massages are out of this world! On a side note,  we also love how the owners partner with local charities. This summer they are partnering with the Interfaith Food Shuttle to raise food for kids going back to school. They also offer complimentary paraffin hand dips. The best part: we always leave feeling like a million bucks. If you haven't tried these products we highly recommend them. And we also recommend Samuel Cole (our mom goes there too and loves it as well)-your hair will thank you! Have a great weekend everyone! xo

Smith & Cult is a new favorite (love their lip-glosses too) How fun would this color be for fall?!

Full stocked, so many colors!
Oribe Root Touch, These are new--great for touching up roots and grays

R + Co

So much Oribe:)

I swear by this shampoo--it is great for blondes!

Samuel Cole offers drinks...my drink of choice: bubbly!
The new do...my mom asked for a pic so snapped this in the car haha!
